Titan Firefighting introduces a new simulator for AT-802 training

At Titan Firefighting, we continue to move forward in our mission to offer the most comprehensive, realistic, and safe training for pilots specializing in aerial firefighting operations. To this end, we have incorporated a new simulator for the Air Tractor AT-802, representing a qualitative leap compared to the previous device.

This new simulator, approved by EASA and unique in its category in Europe, raises the training standards with a series of key improvements:

Ultra-realistic visuals: It features next-generation graphics that faithfully recreate both the terrain and atmospheric and fire conditions.
1:1 AT-802 cockpit: The access and control layout precisely replicate the actual aircraft cockpit, including the new instrumentation aligned with current standards.
Hyper-realistic flight responses: The aircraft’s behavior has been optimized to accurately reflect its real dynamics, enabling precise training for every maneuver—from takeoffs and landings to complex maneuvers and emergency situations.
Advanced fire scenario training: The simulator enables the recreation of multiple fire scenarios—with varying sizes and behaviors—and visualizes in real time the effects of water or retardant drops, as well as the operational impact of decisions made on the ground.
Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT): Includes specific training for recovering from abnormal attitudes such as spins, nose-high, or low-speed conditions, all in a completely safe environment.
Failure generation and hazardous environments: Capable of simulating aircraft malfunctions and abnormal situations such as asymmetric wing lift, power loss, collisions with obstacles, electrical wires, or uneven terrain—maximizing pilot preparedness for any eventuality.

This new simulator not only enhances the quality and realism of training but also allows for the accreditation of actual flight hours, thanks to its official certification by EASA and supervised use by qualified instructors.

With this new addition, Titan Firefighting strengthens its position as a European benchmark in advanced AT-802 pilot training, reaffirming our commitment to air safety, technological innovation, and comprehensive preparation for firefighting missions.

Titan Firefighting Welcomes the Visit of the Deputy Government Delegate of Castellón

On September 6, Titan welcomed the Deputy Government Delegate of Castellón, Antonia García Valls, to its facilities. During her visit to our aerial firefighting base in Viver, she emphasized the importance of this installation in combating forest fires. Throughout the summer campaign, this base houses three amphibious aircraft operated by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO). These aircraft bolster the capacity of autonomous communities to respond to fire emergencies.

These amphibious planes, capable of taking off and landing on water surfaces, can carry up to 3,100 liters of water in their tanks. With a cruising speed of at least 250 km/h, they can reload water from reservoirs, lakes, and ports with a surface area of 2,700 meters, even at altitudes of up to 610 meters. This technical deployment is crucial to ensuring a rapid and efficient response in firefighting operations.

During her visit, García Valls highlighted the Spanish Government’s commitment to providing these strategic resources for fighting fires:

“These three aircraft have been essential in tackling forest fires in Castellón this summer, including incidents in Morella (15/07), Benicàssim (02/08), Artana (13/08), and Oropesa del Mar (29/08). Thanks to their deployment, we have managed to minimize the environmental and social impact in our province,” she stated.

The Deputy Delegate also underscored the strategic placement of these aircraft at the Vicente Huerta aerodrome in Viver (Castellón), considering the region’s critical water stress, which increases the vulnerability of ecosystems to fires.

In line with MITECO’s operational philosophy and Titan Firefighting’s preparation and expertise, the aerial assets based in Viver have extended their reach to other autonomous communities, responding to emergencies in seven provinces: Castellón, Valencia, and Alicante (Valencian Community); Huesca, Zaragoza, and Teruel (Aragón); and Cuenca (Castilla-La Mancha).

Titan, new sponsor of Viver’s grassroots soccer team

In line with our business philosophy of social commitment, at Titan we have reached an agreement to sponsor the base soccer school of the Club Deportivo de Viver, the town where our company’s headquarters are located.

At Titan, our work is the defense of our forests and natural sites through the prevention and fight against forest fires. But our commitment goes beyond that and we think that we can also contribute to society in other ways, supporting and promoting culture, sports or other social causes.

With this sponsorship we want to collaborate in the promotion of healthy activities and the promotion of values such as sportsmanship and teamwork among young people and children. We also intend to contribute to the development and improvement of the quality of life in our towns, doing our bit to promote physical activity and sports.

We are honored that the Viver soccer team has given us the opportunity to be part of their family and wear our brand on their kits. We look forward to seeing how these great talents demonstrate their ability on the field.

The delivery of the equipment took place in our facilities, which were attended by all the boys and girls along with family and friends who had the opportunity to enjoy seeing our facilities and taking pictures with our airplanes.
