We have a clear objective of service since our beggining.
The origin of Titan is produced in 1965 with the objective of repairing and maintaining certain aircraft for fumigation and fire fighting, as well as providing commercial service. The first location of its workshops was in Manises, in the Airport’s General Aviation Hangar, with EASA Part-145 authorization verified by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation.
Expansion and growth
Years later, in 1994, the company expanded its horizons, increasing its functions and becoming an Aircraft Operator. Then, with a first fleet of 8 PZL-M18 A DROMADER aircraft, we started to operate under the approval of the Civil Aviation General Directorate in January 1995, performing surveillance and fire extinction tasks in forest areas.
In this same year, however, Titan acquires the first Air Tractor AT-802, which now makes up the bulk of our fleet, which operates throughout Europe. At this point, we began to work on firefighting and “Search and Rescue” operations (SAR) for different public bodies: the Ministry of the Environment, “Generalitat Valenciana”, “Generalitat de Catalunya”, “Xunta de Galicia” or the Government of La Rioja, among others, a mission that has lasted from 1995 to the present day.
Present and future
Nowadays, Titan has the most advanced fleet of firefighting aircraft in Europe, made up of land and amphibious aircraft, being a reference in the sector and having presence in several countries. As an internal regime, our goal is to achieve health and safety in the work environment that improves continuously, as dictated by the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard.
But our task is not over: we want to continue improving and contributing our grain of sand for the preservation of our green areas, so Titan has currently established an environmental management system that has obtained the certification in the International Standard UNE-EN-ISO 14001.
