We have had a clear objective since our beggining.
Titan was founded in 1965 with the objective of repairing and maintaining aircraft for fumigation and fire fighting, as well as providing commercial service. Our workshops were first located in Manises, in the Airport’s General Aviation Hangar, with EASA Part-145 authorization verified by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation.
Expansion and growth
Years later, in 1994, the company expanded its horizons, increasing its functions and becoming an Aircraft Operator. Then, with a first fleet of 8 PZL-M18 A DROMADER aircraft, we started to operate under the approval of the Civil Aviation General Directorate in January 1995, performing surveillance and fire extinction tasks in forest areas.
In this same year, Titan also acquires the first Air Tractor AT-802, which now makes up the bulk of our fleet, which operates throughout Europe. At that point, we began to work in fire fighting and “Search and Rescue” operations (SAR) for different public bodies: the Ministry of the Environment, “Generalitat Valenciana”, “Generalitat de Catalunya”, “Xunta de Galicia” or the Government of La Rioja, among others, a mission that has continued from 1995 to the present day.
Present and future
Nowadays, Titan has the most advanced fleet of fire fighting aircraft in Europe, made up of land and amphibious aircraft, being a benchmark in the industry and having presence in several countries. As an internal regime, our objective is to maintain our high standards of health and safety that are continuously worked on.
But our task does not end with the provision of service, we are also committed to doing our part to continue the improvement and preservation of our green areas, which is why Titan has established an environmental management system that has obtained the certification in the International Standard UNE-EN-ISO 14001.
