Aerial Fire Fighting

The fight against fire begins before the fire itself starts.

The extinguishing tasks are one of the fundamental pillars of our activity.
Unlike what is generally believed, fire fighting begins before the fire itself is started.

On one hand, there are prevention tasks, as well as an analysis of both natural and human factors that can affect a specific area. Risks are analyzed and strategies are designed to prevent potential future fires.
Thanks to surveillance tasks, risks are minimized and large pre-set areas are monitored, patrolled and controlled to locate small potential sources or columns of smoke before they get out of control and turn into fires.

If any source of risk is detected, communication, analysis and evaluation tasks begin to study how to deal with the situation. This phase is essential, as a good approach and a defined strategy greatly minimizes the risks and facilitates the success of the operation.

After studying the situation, and after receiving the order to attack the fire, the aircraft uses the extinguishing material according to the situation (water or retardant), also considering, of course, the environmental conditions.

AT-802

The AT-802 is one of the most advanced fire fighting aircraft available. It has autonomy of almost 5 hours with maximum load. It is powerful, maneuverable and resistant; it allows the injection of foam into the tank during the flight and thanks to the advanced load dispersion system of the AT-802, the FRDS (Fire Retardant Dispersal System), and factors such as distance or number of gallons during the discharge can be programmed to launch a controllable, accurate attack.

A.V.A System

Titan Firefighting, in collaboration with the “Generalitat of Catalunya”, has developed a surveillance system called A.V.A. (Attack and Vigilance Aircraft), a method by which it tries to minimize the impact of a fire and prevent it from getting out of control through early action. The A.V.A. system is born from a detailed study of risk factors, meteorological phenomena, different strategies, etc.

The plan is designed for the AT-802 aircraft, since it has enough power and rigidity to perform the task, a wider range of abilities than other aircraft against which it competes and, in addition, much lower operating risks and costs than other larger aircraft.
